When it comes to blogging, Pinterest is a great tool for driving traffic to your blog. More traffic equals more potential customers equals revenue! Let’s take a look at why Pinterest is great for bloggers.

As a previous DIY blogger, Pinterest was a huge traffic source for my blog. In a matter of only two months, I was able to apply for the Mediavine Ads Program because my blog reached their required page sessions (which were 25,000 then). And it was all thanks to Pinterest (Pinterest Business Account).
Pinterest has some awesome tools for bloggers to help drive traffic to their blogs. Within your business account, there are several tools that will help you track, lookup trends, and do keyword searches for blog posts. How awesome is that?! Don’t have a business account? Read HERE why it’s important. And if you have no clue how to start a business account, then let me help!
Trends
Using the new “trends” button can improve your content and future blog post ideas and make them relevant to Pinterest users. It shows you popular pins and boards that people are searching for on Pinterest. This will allow you to create an awesome blog post using those trends! Trending equals more traffic to your blog!
Analytics
Analytics is a great way to track and review pins that are converting. It allows you to determine what type of pins have the highest conversion rate. It also provides a lot more details that will help you when it comes to pin creation so be sure to look at yours daily!
Video Pins
There are also video pins! And we all know video is very popular right now. Take your blog post and create a video pin! Here is an example of how one of my video pins converted.

These features allowed me to create relevant content for Pinterest users. It also showed me which pins were working and which pins were not working. Implementing these strategies doubled my ad revenue! My pins were gaining traction and link clinks which is what you want! All within six months.
Pinning Strategy
Implementing a pinning strategy can be difficult and very time consuming if you are not familiar with the platform. There is no secret formula, unfortunately! Since Pinterest made the announcement that they prefer “Fresh Pins” from business accounts (you can read more about Fresh Pins here), it has added a bit more pressure to create new pins.
It takes hours of testing, hours of creating different pins, and hours of reviewing your analytics to see what works for you and your business.
If you have been blogging for some time, you know how much time blogging consumes! From brainstorming to writing blog posts, editing, taking photos, or finding the right stock photos.
